The “Golden Rule” taught to me by my grandmother was to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This is exactly how I have approached the practice of law. After graduating law school in 2008 and passing the Georgia and Alabama Bar exams, I immediately opened Holston & Huntley. When I initially opened my firm, I had zero clients—but, through hard work and the “Golden Rule,” I have grown my law firm. Although the numbers have increased tremendously, my staff and I treat every one of our clients with dignity and respect, just as my grandmother taught me.
I practice exclusively in the areas of consumer bankruptcy and personal injury. Having double majored in Finance & Economics at Auburn University, I have a better understanding of money than most, which is extremely beneficial to my bankruptcy clients. I am able to swiftly get to the crux of clients’ financial problems and come up with a game plan to help them overcome their debt burdens.
My personal injury experience consists of not only negotiating with insurance companies but also representing injured victims in the courtroom when the insurance company refuses to fairly compensate them. The injured victims I represent include those involved in minor fender benders to those have been seriously injured. In total, I have recovered more than $1,000,000.00 for my clients.
These results come from my ability to relate to my clients. I have been the victim of a devastating injury, so I know what it feels like to not be able to walk without assistance and not socialize with your family and friends because the pain is so severe. This is why I am always willing to fight for every penny that my clients deserve. I have a personal understanding of the value of their case and what it means to them.
I became a lawyer because I always wanted to help people and earn an honest living that could be used to support my family. There is no better feeling than knowing that I was able to change my client’s life with the knowledge that I have obtained through learning and practicing law. I chose my areas of practice because I wanted to help an underserved and underrepresented segment of society. I understand that every dollar matters, and I consider it a privilege to provide my clients with the knowledge and skills they might not otherwise receive due to their financial situation.
For more than 10 years of practicing law, I have been able to refine my negotiating, mediating, and legal skills. I am highly adept at understanding my clients’ needs and exceeding their expectations. I have recovered more than $75,000.00 for clients who did not think they would recover a dime. Although the practice of law in multiple states keeps me on the move, I make time to enjoy golfing, traveling, rooting for the Auburn Tigers, and spending time with my family.
